Dedicated to the memory of Nick Hancock

This site is a tribute to Nick Hancock, who was born in London on July 24, 1962. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Nick Hancock was a man deeply loved and cherished by all who knew him. His courage, strength, and unwavering spirit defined him during his five-year battle with cancer, which he fought with remarkable determination and resilience. Even in the face of adversity, Nick's generosity and commitment to helping others shone through. In May 2022, he participated in the Hampton Court 10K charity run, raising funds for the Royal Marsden as a token of gratitude for the incredible care he received. Nick also organised a special charity dinner to support Professor Cunningham’s department at the Royal Marsden who had been treating Nick, a cause close to his heart.

In his final days, Nick was fortunate to receive exceptional end-of-life care from the nurses and medical staff at the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher. His beloved wife Helen, step-daughter Amy and close family and friends were by his side every step of the way, providing comfort and love in his last moments.

In lieu of flowers, Helen and Amy kindly request that donations be made in Nick’s name to the Princess Alice Hospice Inpatient Unit. These contributions will go towards supporting the dedicated team who took such wonderful care of Nick and his family. Through this gesture, Nick’s legacy of compassion and gratitude will continue to support the Princess Alice Hospice to whom the family holds so dear.
